A WiFi mesh platform, for optimized in-home WiFi connectivity
DKT WAVE2, a product line part of our DKT 4751x family. The 4751x family is composed of three distinct products designed to extend network connectivity at home, using WiFi, MoCA or G.hn technology for its backhaul.
These products complement the Qualcomm Self Organizing Network (SON) technology, which allows multiple access points to be connected in a mesh structure via a Self-Configuring, Self-Managing, Self-Healing and Self-Defending configuration scheme.
DKT WAVE2 creates a robust and secure wireless network with customer ease of use in mind, and can use the in-home cabling infrastructure or WiFi as backbone.
List of unique product features for DKT WAVE2:
- Mesh technology based on none-proprietary Qualcomm SON (Self Organizing Networks technology).
- IEEE 802.1 k, v, r support; none proprietary solution, will work with 3rd party equipment.
- Whole Home Coverage due to multi technology support, backhaul via g.hn (via PLC), MoCA, PDS/RJ-45, WiFi (air).
- Managed solution, TR-069 as an option.
- Video, Connecting the IoT, Voice Capabilities.
- iOS and Google Play apps available.

The SON feature improves coverage by adding more devices. Given its architecture with 2×2 antennas, it offers an excellent balance in terms of performance and coverage by using MU-MIMO and SON.
DKT recommends customers to use a cabled/wired infrastructure whenever possible, in order to offload the wireless traffic from the air to the wires, as much as possible.
Allocating the existing cabled infrastructure (coax or PDS/UTP) for backhaul IP distribution minimizes this tremendously, and customer experience as well as satisfaction will increase.
