Connection of the future.
The Signia Line all have nickel-tin plated brass connectors. This leads to a minimum failure rate.
Signia
The Signia products are designed to maximize the performance of your passive network, and are designed for the DOCSIS 3.1 standard.

Why choose the Signia line?
With the signia line, DKT has made a construction that gives unique advantages on the operational Expenditure (OPEX). Because the products are made with NiTin brass connectors, they are literally maintenance-free, creating a unique OPEX advantage.
Why brass connectors make all the difference
All CATV network operators regularly encounter faults in their network. These faults are caused by defect interconnections between cables and network components. The cause is either that the cable connector has loosened or the connector on the network component has corroded. The connectors loosen due to vibration, temperature changes and the physical behavior of the connector’s metallic component (cold-flows).
Why cold-flows are a weakness in your network
Cold-flow is a characteristic of “soft” metals such as zinc and aluminum, meaning over time, these metals deform even at low temperatures. This can be caused by stress from thermal contraction of the attached cables during a cold winter.
The DKT Signia product series has brass connectors, which do not cold-flow. Furthermore, the connectors are plated with a nickel-tin alloy, which is very resistant to corrosion. High quality cable connectors are also made in brass with nickel-tin plating. As a result, using the Signia products considerably improves the operation of the CATV network.
Low failure rate
From an electric aspect, the Signia product series has a low failure rate. All splitters and taps in the network contain ferrite cores. At high power these cores are driven above their linear range of operation; hence signals are intermixed (passive intermodulation). This is observed as increased noise in the network, which may result in periodic failures that can be extremely difficult to localize and correct. Ferrite cores with higher linear range
In the Signia product series the ferrite cores have a much higher linear range of operation. All ferrite cores have a memory effect; when the cores are exposed to a strong signal their linear range of operation is permanently narrowed. The ferrite cores used in the Signia product series are more resistant to this effect. Additionally, there is built-in protection in the Signia product series. This protects the ferrite cores against unwanted strong signals.
To summarize, the signia product line is:
- Class A
- AC Block
- Resistant to passive intermodulation
- Surge pulse protection
- Protected against dust & humidity
- Corrosion-free
